Australian Age Swimming Championships - Results

Congratulations to our national age swimmers who competed at

the 2012 Australian Age Swimming Championships

Bayside achieved some outstanding results:

 Delainee Melia:  National Champion 12-13 yrs 400m Freestyle

 2nd Place 800m Freestyle

3rd Place 200m Freestyle

Finalist (4th) 100m Freestyle

Emma Reid: 2nd Place 15 yrs 800m Freestyle

Finalist (8th) 400m Freestyle

Lucy McJannett: 3rd Place 14 yrs 100m Backstroke

3rd Place 100m Freestyle

Finalist (4th) 50m Freestyle

Alessandra Colombini: Finalist (5th) 14 yrs 800m Freestyle

Finalist (8th) 400m Freestyle

India White: Finalist (8th) 14 yrs 100m Breaststroke

 

Girls 14 yrs and Under 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay Team: 1st Place

 Bayside finished 21st on the Final Pointscore out of 166 clubs, making it the highest placed club in the Eastern Suburbs.

                           with its swimmers training at  the Des Renford Aquatic Centre

                                                                at Maroubra.

                           Bayside is one of the leading swim club in Sydney's east.

                        Bayside Swimming Club is one of the strongest swimming clubs in

                       the Eastern Suburb's area. At the Summer 2010 New South Wales

                           State Age Long Championships, Bayside team members won a

                              total of 28 medals and one trophy, placing 7th place overall.

                            At the Australian Age Swimming Championships 2010 Bayside

                                  won 7 medals and Bayside team members made 18 finals.

                                                         Bayside came 16th in Australia.

 

             BAYSIDE AND THE DES RENFORD AQUATIC CENTRE

                                       The Des Renford Aquatic Centre (DRAC) is Bayside’s home pool.                    

                          We encourage all our members to participate in the centre’s Learn To Swim and 

               squad  training  programs. Bayside regards the DRAC staff as an essential part of our team,

           and we support them, as we expect them to support our swimmers. All Bayside pool activities

                          are planned in consultation with centre management and DRAC coaching staff.

                        Our main means of communication is email. We also have a season calendar that

                        should  assist in planning what you'd like to attend and what is on. The calendar and  

                                                 other  information is also posted on the notice board by the

                                                  indoor  Competition Pool at DRAC and on this website at : -

                                 Bayside also has a  page where members can become a fan of : -

                  Get your kids to become a fan so that they can keep up to date with what's going on at

                                                                                                  Bayside.    

                    There are also heaps of Bayside photo albums where they can find themselves or add

                               more pictures. Please make sure you check these sites regularly, as changes

                         sometimes  do occur during the season. Bayside registration and race entry fees are

                                                                                 separate to your  squad fees.

                                            Bayside registration fees are due on 1st October each year and remain

                                                                                     current for twelve months.
