Bayside Club Day

  • Club night occurs every second week at the Des Renford Aquatic Centre.
  • In summer it is held on a Thursday night with races starting at 6:30 pm sharp in the 50 metre pool.
  • In winter it is held on a Saturday afternoon with races starting at 4:00 pm sharp, in the 25 metre indoor pool.
  • It costs $2.50 per person/$5.00 a family (competitors only) to enter on the day and money should be paid to the club registrar (Tracy) when you arrive at the pool.   Pool entry is free however Bayside have to hire the lanes for club day, so this money goes towards the hire.

 Entry Procedures for Club:

  • Entries are due by the Thursday before a club day and should be completed on the forms left outside the Bayside Box, found within the DRAC foyer, and then deposited in the box.
  • No email entries will be accepted unless there are unforseen circumstances.

Club Night

  • Club is run by volunteers and we need as many people as possible to time keep, start races, run the computer, marshal children, and help on the BBQ (summer). Please put up your hand, the night is only as successful as the people who make it that way.
  • In summer a BBQ operates and you can buy a sausage sandwich for $2.00.
  • Signing on at club meets concludes 20 minutes prior to racing.

Bayside’s club meets are the central focus of our club. It provides an opportunity for all our swimmers to come and regularly practise racing in a relaxed and friendly environment. It also provides an opportunity for Bayside families to meet each other and contribute towards running our club.

To be eligible to be crowned Age Champion or get a major trophy and gift at our presentation night you will need to have swum in 10 club days or 15 Club days and carnivals combined (with a minimum of 5 club days). Having said that members who swim in our club championships and have not qualified for a major trophy and prize will receive small participation trophy on presentation night regardless of how many swims they have completed.
